War House Wilderness Sheath And Andersen Forge Knife!
« on: May 29, 2012, 10:37:00 AM »
First I want to say how great it is to be back to work after nearly 3 months off due to shoulder surgery. This knife by Andersen Forge will be featured at the Blade show. I named the sheath after a famous drainage in the Shoshone Wilderness area hope you like the name Karl? The sheath features a true inlay of ostrich. There are no bumbs because this part comes from the leg. It is a basket stamp with finger carve back. Karl can say mor of the knife. Enjoy!

You two make one heck of a team.  That whole package is fantastic.  I love the way the profiles of your sheaths capture and accent the profiles of the knives they're made for.  They have flow, lead the eye, and are wonderfully clean...just like Karl's knives.

This is the first time I've seen this sheath.
I am continually amazed at Scott's ability to make a knife - more than just a knife. He has repeatedly taken anything I have done to the next level ABOVE my efforts.
There will be more photos of this knife as the blade still needs tobe hot-blued and it will then dramatically reveal the laddered Ws Damascus.
The guard is twisted wrought iron and the handle is stabilized crotch walnut from Kentucky.
Thanks, Scott.
see ya soon.

great job again....... your work really speaks for its self.  seems on this knife a darker leather would look better with that color of wood.  thats just my opinion though, and i have a thing for darker dyed leather so im kinda biass i guess lol

Scott, I was really impressed with the quality of my "plain" arm guard.  Your sheath work is as good as it gets!

You and Karl make a great team!  Have a great Blade Show.

Scott -- That is an amazing sheath -- one of the nicest I have ever seen! I need to have you create something special for me in addition to the one sheath of yours and several other leather objects of yours that I now have the pleasure of owning. You are a master!

Karl -- One of your knives that I own is carried in a sheath that you had Scott make for you, and they are fitting companions. This knife is another of your usual masterpieces and makes me want to add to my collection of your blades. With guys like you, Doug and Lin around, I could soon become a pauper.

Great work guys!

Thanks Allan I need to send you a picture of this inlay armguard I did. I was going to bring it to PBS with a matching inlay sheath for Karls knife. I never made it because of my shoulder. Karl sold the knife and sheath but it sure would be a cool combo. I finger carved the inside of the armguard.
