Forging demo
« on: June 01, 2012, 08:22:00 AM »
Wanna see some serious tongs, press, forge, quench tank, etc?
I'm gonna be thinking about this all day.

When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Thanks for posting Karl,
The tolerances needed for that armature to spin at speed would be tight. The gage equipment would have to be vision technology or laser, I would think. Old fashion blacksmith skills and advanced technogies meet.

Oh my?  I am thinking you could make large sheets of 4000 layer damascus with on smoosh of the press.  I would love to see some of the things those guys create when they are bored.
