The Rainmaker
« on: September 29, 2012, 05:05:00 PM »
Seems like it's been raining since I started this one, finally some relief from the drought.
5 inch differincial hardened 5160, 1/4 inch thick spine. 10 1/2 inches overall. Mortised into some quartersawn osage with a textured brass bladeguard and pinned ebony cap. 2 copper pins through bronze flange bushings.
A pretty good balance, heavy enough to be batoned yet still a functional skinner / bushcrafter.

Thanks !
Those are some old trap tags I found out on some bluffs near the Pease River. The area burned last year exposing a lot of "treasure".
