Pointy, Sticky, Bowie/Seax
« on: October 09, 2012, 07:51:00 PM »
Forged this blade many years ago, found it in a "moving" box,  finished it up today.  Low/keen point "Bowie" with alot of Seax influence...so maybe its a Bowieax?  Any how its W2 with some Black Walnut.  Blade is just over 9", overall 14".

thanks fellas,  I used to make a bunch with the real low tip like this, had a guy from Sweden tell me that its similar to a knife they used to call the Scramasax.   This one is headed to California.

That is a VERY handsome piece, Matt.  Something about that package begs to be used.  I really like the sanding job and the dynamic hamon.
