Don't get much shop time in the summer around here but I did get this little chopper done yesterday evening.
My youngest daughter who lives in AK made a special request for her birthday this year. Her better half has to travel a lot for work and she wanted something she could keep handy that might make her feel a little more secure when he was gone. I suggested the pistol or shotgun she already has should put the fear in anybody looking down the barrel with a mad blond behind it but she said she wanted something sharp from Dad... What can I say, I tried to raise her right.
Anyway I certainly hope it will see more use as a camp chopper than anything else. It'll be going in the mail in the next couple days after I get a sheath made.
Actually forged it from an old ball peen hammer like I've done a couple times before. Sharp as a razor and the twisted spike turned out kinda nifty. Did a little work with brass tacks and buckskin on the hickory handle too.
Thanks and enjoy...
