Refurbished Peter Wright Anvil
« on: August 04, 2013, 12:57:00 PM »
A year and half ago, I ended up with this Peter Wright anvil.  It's edges were all chipped an basically useless for the way I forge knives. I took it to our fall ABANA meet last year to show some blacksmiths who might have some good ideas.  Our chapter frequently has anvil repair classes and one of the instructors took a liking to my knives.

Long story short after being in at our farm in Aiken all winter, I met Ed today and exchanged a knife to his liking for his refurbishing of my Peter Wright all shinny with perfect edges!  tippit

looks nice!  good size too, small enough for one man to move, big enough to get some work done.

Very nice Jeff. That profile and the Hay Budden are the two most appealing to me. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

Yes, by one of our New England Blacksmiths (ABANA Chapter) who teaches the restoration of old anvils.  Just by luck that I met him & he liked my knives  :)
