Latest Chef's knife
« on: August 05, 2013, 10:40:00 AM »
So I have a bunch of 3/8" 1095 just waiting to be used.  It is too thick to hammer thinner without a lot of work so I finally got my tire hammer running and the steel hot.  I smashed it down to around 5/16" thick and a little over 2" in width and decided a chef's knife would be a good use for this piece. Here is the result with stabilized walnut scales.

That should cut about anything in the kitchen or otherwise. Neat looking knife.

Thanks guys!  It really does cut well!  This is a change in style from my other kitchen knives so I'm waiting on a review from the guy who bought it.
