New Axe
« on: August 18, 2013, 05:54:00 AM »
I have been really enjoying forging axes and wanted to share one just finished with you fellows. Lin clued me in on a place that deals in hardwood and I got some kiln dried hickory that I have been shaping my handles from. I think this one is my best handle yet.

I am gifting this to a fellow Trad Gang member because he has been very kind and generous with me having never met in person. This will be the first time he has seen it but he knows there is a gift headed his way this week. Thanks Kevin.

Having looked this axe over closely, I can say I'm very impressed with it. Excellent work and all traditionally crafted!

Gorgeous axe. I need to start saving my pennies to start a custom axe collection, you and Lin are both turning out some beautiful tools!
