Lacewood Camp Knife & Longbow
« on: December 14, 2013, 04:09:00 PM »
Since my wife is down at our farm in SC and I'm stuck with a winter storm coming into Boston, I had the time to finished up a camp knife to go with my Longriver (HH style) longbow.  Knife handle Lacewood & riser Lacewood/Purpleheart with Mother of Pearl moon inlay by Gus DellaGhelfa.  Knife is 5160 and 10 1/2" OAL with a 6 1/4" blade...tippit

That's a nice pair.  A bit different than most of your work I see on here.  I like how you left just a hint of your forge marks on it.

great job on the knife Jeff, it has beautiful lines. I never saw  Mother of Pearl moon inlay on a bow riser before... that is really something. Cool stuff!

Awesome profile on that blade.
That subtle bit of recurve is the ticket!
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.
