« on: January 15, 2014, 08:44:00 AM »
Finished a big Cutter for Bob Corbitt, forged from 5/16" 5160, blade is "forge" finish with the bevels being belt finished.  Guard is blued steel, handle is Carbon Fiber.

Length is just over 15", blade is 10" x 2".

A few quick pics-

Just curious, how much would something like that weigh? Have admired your work for a long time. Mike

hi Mike, not sure I haven't weighed it.  Its a handful though, not a lot of distal taper to this one, purposefully wanted to keep the fwd. weight for heavy chopping etc..
