PBS Auction Knife
« on: March 15, 2014, 08:57:00 PM »
I was asked to add a knife to a PBS Auction Package that included Jerry Brumm's green Great Northern Old School Ghost. I have several GN Ghosts & Critter Getters that have added meat to my freezer many times.  They have always represented a simplistic working man's style that are fantastic hunting machines for me.

Jerry sent me a piece of riser material with green glass added to one side.  I used the green glass side as a liner.  Here's my GN inspired hunting knife...simple but it should get the job done.  OAL 8 inches forged from 52100 steel...tippit

You know, since I was responsible for rounding up donations for the Pack of Dreams raffle I have been agonizing about how it would look if I by some miracle actually won the prize. Heck with that, I am going to be first in line Thursday to buy my regular raffle tickets, Big 5 bow raffle tix, and Pack of Dreams tickets!

I will grab a link and throw it up here. Terry and Rob have been wonderful to the PBS and I anticipate big things for us together in the near future.

Jeff, thank you so much for providing this key piece to the Pack of Dreams; looking forward to shaking your hand next week!

Jeff, have you sent that out yet?  If not could you throw up a picture of it from the top so we can see the liner?

Steve,
You'll have to ask Whip to take a picture cause it went off to him on Monday with one of my sheaths...unfortunately Jerry & I couldn't come up with a big enough piece of Green GN Quiver leather for the sheath.

The knife handle is kinda neat as Jerry had glued up his green bow glass on one side of the riser material he sent me.  I was originally going to feather that glass on the outside...but it would have been scratched up on the first Elk Skinning Job    :)     The green glass looks real nice as a liner against the blade tang though...Jeff

PS:  I'm going to purchase some raffle tickets too.  I'm not going to miss out on a chance of all the goodies in this package.  If perchance I win, the knife will be on St Judes Auction in May.  There now I don't feel so bad buying More Tickets!

Tippit is flying in and is trying to come with a carry on bag only.  Can't have the TSA guys getting their hands on his donation for the Pack Of Dreams, so he sent it to me to bring along.  I hope I remember to pack it.    ;)
