Compact Bowie
« on: July 20, 2014, 06:30:00 PM »
Here is a smallish Bowie that I just finished up. The blade is 5 1/2 inches of 5160. The fittings are forged 416 stainless and the wood is ironwood.

Lin I sure like the knife, I am working on one similar now.  Are the pins stainless also. Would you care to share how you pean the heads on your pins?

There's a lot to like about that knife.
It sure would look good on a belt.

Thanks.   :campfire:

The single pin is annealed, peened over, and polished and is made of Nickle/Silver. I like the N/S ability to tighten at the heads and if it is handled it ought to stay pretty bright.
