THL Jr Frame Lock Flipper
« on: August 20, 2015, 06:29:00 PM »
Hey Guys, it's been another crazy summer here on the Ranch. I try and check in here often but haven't posted much. I have made a little time for playing in the shop. Last April I drew up and built a Flipper that some of have seen. I had a couple requests for a bit smaller version so downsized every thing and here she is.

I struggled to come up with a catchy name for my Flipper but just couldn't nail anything down. Since it all started with trying to design something Thin, Handy and light I've decided to just call it the THL Flipper. Real catchy right...    ;)

Well anyway here is the first THL Jr Flipper. Ti Frame, clip, screws, SS caged bearings, and my own Damacus blade. 2 15/16” blade, 6 7/8”oal, .313” thick not counting clip and comes in at a whopping 2.1oz. She's very quick and snappy and I'm very happy with the design but I certainly am open for constructive suggestions. We'll see if I can get this short video to load.

Doug, I have missed seeing you here, I realize running a ranch takes up most of the year. I was looking through the Knives 2015 enjoying all your work in that edition.

It is great seeing your post.

Very nice folder, I would be carrying that every day!

I was talking to someone yesterday on the phone about you Doug. You have inspired a lot of folks around here and this knife is another reason. Exceptional work.    :campfire:

Really appreciate the kind words guys. There is a whole bunch of talent on the little forum of ours and I'm tickled to be part of it.

Oh and the clip comes off easy Larry.  ;)
