Potomac Forge Bowie
« on: December 15, 2015, 09:54:00 PM »
My last Bowie of the year.  Made for a co worker, Unfortunately it will probably ever be used as a working blade, it's ready if it does go to work. Edge hardened and drawn back with Oxy/ace torch. 10 1/4" blade of 5160, 15 1/2" OAL stained curly maple with silver wire inlay. Tung oil finished, mild steel fluted guard, billet alum. spacer and tooled veg. tanned leather sheath with frog.

Merry Christmas!

Very pretty Steve. I'm glad to see the Moran influence alive and well in your work.   :campfire:

Wow - nice.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Great knife and sheath combo. Looks like a great piece of curly maple as well.

Beautiful package. Every bit of it is very finely crafted. I love it.
