I was so close,  I had it fit and peened and then I was trying to get a little dip out of the handle and hit it far too cold.

I Learned a few on this one and think I will be able to pull it off in the next try.

It was w2. I was opening it up again as the peen was coming loose with all the work I was doing on the handle.  I did not have it hot enough and as I was working it and it snapped.

Gotta work it red. Keep at it Brad. I've broke em too. I find the the 10 series steels are working for me.
