I was issued this knife in the 1960's.  They are simple tools that work.  The metal that holds the main blade has broken, allowing the blade to rotate 270 not 180 degrees.  I called the company, who has the name, but claims no information nor parts from the former owners.  I asked for a idea of the dimensions so I could grind down the rivets, remove the blade and build/replicate the part.  They kept saying they had nothing to do with the company that supplied thousands to the military.  Any one have any ideas or can repair this relic?  This knife opened lots of C Rats in SE Asia and was in my footlocker for almost 30 years.  I could buy a new one, but this one is special.  Suggestions?

the original company went belly up about 10 years ago. the name was bought by another company so they could make knock offs in china under the brand name. The same thing happened to Schrade. If it was mine I would retire it to a place of honor in a display case. You can find another original at a knife show or online or buy one of the knock offs to carry every day. I have several worn out and broken knives in my collection that I keep just for the stories behind them.

You are probably right.  If I knew the shape
E and dimension, I am sure I could make a replacement and then repin it. I saw one at the last gunshot and may buy one if I see it.  
That blade has seen some unique places of the world.  That auger repaired a lot of things, and the can opener opened a lot of CRat peaches-traded lucky stikes for the peaches
