Wanted to share...
« on: February 26, 2018, 03:24:00 PM »
Hey all, its been several years since I have made a knife. We sold the house where I had an outdoor forge plus I had too little time to invest with kiddos growing and keeping us busy. Kids are getting older and more independent and therfore I have a little more time so I have been buying blades and old hatchet heads and re-handling them over the last few months and just wanted to share.

This is a set of vinatge Hickory kitchen knives I cleaned up and rehandled with Bocote, mosaic pins and maple liners for our kitchen.

This is a cool one. This was a small caper with handle scales made of a three thin layers of a Vinyl flooring my company makes. It also has Osage liners.

Nice work. Your story sounds like mine. I haven't been into the forge in years (family, job, moving...) but planning to get started again. Have a bucket full of axes, hatchet and tomahawks just waiting for re-handling, and a mess of deer antler waiting for knife blades. Thanks for the inspiration.
