Osage Staves
« on: August 29, 2008, 09:48:00 PM »
Where can I get an osage stave to build a selfbow?  I'd rather get one from a Tradganger, but haven't found a posting for anyone here selling them.  That new bowyers bench is killin' me to get started on one. Tge

Try Murray Gaskins of alternative bow woods.  I believe he is in southwest alabama.

You can always get a good piece of osage from Mike Yancey at Pine Hollow,  http://www.pinehollowlongbows.com/products.asp
