Maybe I can drive or train your way one weekend. I'm also going to be working in Muhldorf, but not until the end of March. Is that any closer?

Hello GR,
I am living quite close to Cologne.
It is maybe 2-3 hours driving from Hildesheim.
Best wishes,
Glotzfrosch.

Gr,
Hildesheim is about 35 min. from my house. Maybe we can arrange something?!
But you better forget the fly fishing, okay?! You need a license for almost every sh*t you do in Germany - and "killing something" requires at least a year long class, plus big money, to finally receive the permission on paper :-(
