Getting the itch!
« on: December 19, 2008, 08:58:00 PM »
I have made a few self bows and learned ALOT but now have the itch to do a few glass takedown recurves and longbows. I have the ability to make forms and jigs with machine shop equipment. I am an electical tech but also a OK machinist but work with the best machinist I've ever met. I will make a lot of things with wood but some , I think, wil work better made from 6061 alum. I'm rambling so to the question. On a takedown recurve or takedown longbow, is there an set angle for the limbs to attach to the riser. Is it the same for all lengths or do you have to change for each size or is there a formula. Thanks, Don
