I am making a recurve from a ash stave. It is 62" 2" wide at the fades for 7" and the tips are 1/2" and I would like to make pin nocks. Can I make them, if not can I cut through the back of the bow for nocks or do I need over lays?

Pin nocks are fine, but never cut through the back of the bow. Overlays help but aren't that necessary.

well for me i use double nocks..mainly so i don;t
have to be digging the limb tip trying to
string it. Pin nocks are ok, but u don't have too
many options when it comes to stringing.
