Glue?

Has anyone tried Gorilla Wood glue on a lam or backing?

Yep, bad stuff, not for use in bows or anything that flexes. I tried it a couple times for backing and had failures both times.

Hay Thanks Eric I used some of it to gule up a blank for the Gizmo don't guess it will be any problem with that.

I have and it WILL work, but ANYTHING is easier..

  The material itself is REALLY strong, but as it cures, it is designed to foam up due to the chemical reaction.  If allowed to foam, the glue is not strong enough (not even close) for the stresses in a bow limb.  The clamping has to be so tight the bubbles in the foam are essentially microscopic.

  So, it could be used if the glueing surfaces are almost mathematically perfectly matched and smoothed. Clamping needs to be perfectly even, consistent, and very tight, down to almost no gap.

  Not any reason good enough to use ti, when Titebond and  Urac work so well.

Thanks Springbuck But I am talking about their wood glue the white stuff it looks like Elmer's wood glue, but its Gorilla. I have glued one riser and a blank for the Gizmo no foaming at all.
I cleaned off the excess last night. It seemed kind of rubbery but that was just the drips. The boards are firmly holding

Thanks Dano I think I'm going to plane down some curly maple and glue it together and bend it a bit just to see what happens. (Maybe I'll put on some armor and my motor cycle helmet LOL)
