creaking/cracking noises!

So I finished a three piece TD recurve.  IMHO it turned out pretty nice, but I am concerned about creaking/cracking noises that seem to come from the limb/limb bed when I draw it the first time after it's been sitting for awhile.  Have any of you had a similar experience?  Do you think think thin cork or rubberized gasket material would alleviate the noise?

I use a piece of felt between the limb and handle, but I've heard some use a little vaseline  on the pin as well.

I've made quite a few 3 piece bows, I use furniture paste wax (dries hard) on all surfaces where limbs mount.  Pin too.  I have never had any squeek at any time using this method.  Never had to reapply.  Another good one is to use clear plastic stuff used for covering fences on wood working tools.  It comes with a peel off sticky back.  Trim with sharp utility knife.

Also check your mounting surfaces for flatness and how they mate-up.  Creeking and squeeking are pretty normal with dry surfaces but cracking....?
