Knives & more knives....pics.
« on: February 04, 2007, 11:29:00 PM »
Fellas,
Since I don't have the talent to make my own knives, I've got to buy them.  Picked a few up from the Little Rock Custom Knife Show this weekend.
Lin Rhea made the sheephorn bowie & buckeye hunter and Dennis Riley made the blackwood hunter.  Both are Arkansas Journeymen Smiths.  Brion Tomberlin made the fighter, Journeymen Smith from Oklahoma.  They will be used.  I guess a man can't have too many knives and bows....I just have to convince my wife.

Good looking blades there hoss! My bar hoppin days are long over and I take care of business at home. Hunting is the one true passion I have (besides billiards and beer and....) so my honey don't mind too much if I get a new bow or blade or cue now and then. Got a baby daughter comin in March so I'll just have to live my wishfull buying days thru ya'll for a while. What kind of steel those puppy's sportin? Lookin good!

Thanks fellas,
I don't think she'll ever be convinced that I need all these toys....it cost me a treadmill though.

David I run faster than she does, If she does me in, she'll likely hock them cheap.

JL, the steel is 5160 with the exception of the fighter it's 1084.  I'm with you on the bar hoppin days...did plenty, still enjoy a fine brew though.  Congrats, on the baby girl.  Sometimes I think many of us live through you new fathers.  I enjoy the threads with fathers and thier children the most.  Keep us posted, we'll be expecting some pics in March.
