I have a 62# @28 fiberglass laminated longbow. I can no longer pull it to anchor (too old). Can I lighten it by sanding?

You can loose some wieght off a bow, but some photos and dimensions would be handy. If the bow is wide enough you could thin the limbs down a bit and round the edges of the limbs over and you can even sand the glass down as long as the glass is not too thin already. You would be better off taking it to a bowyer who knows what he is looking at...Glenn...

The important piece of the equation is how many pounds you want to take off and the specific dimensions of the bow. A competent bowyer could help, but if you're pinched for cash, then there are many here that can help you.....
