Little help with adding pull weight and limb twist
« on: October 05, 2009, 08:30:00 PM »
Hi all,
I am currently building my 3rd take down recurve.  I am using glass on belly and front of limbs.. I am only pulling 25lbs at 28".. I forgot to caculate that the bow was longer than the last one..duh!!  Is there any way to increase the lbs.?

Also, I have just a hair of limb twist at the tip of on of the limbs.. only notice it when strung up.. is this just my knocks needing adjusting?  both limbs came out of the same mold.. the other limb does not have it?

Any help would be appreciated!
Brad

That is to bad Brad.

I have had that happen twice when trying a new T/D longbow design.  I added another piece of glass and got the weight up.  I did reduce the temp. when I put it back in the oven.  Both bows are still going strong over a year later.  Feel free to pm if you think I can be of futher help.  Good  luck.

I was wondering if I could do that.. good to hear it worked... did you add it to the face or the belly?
