bending a hickory self bow

i just got through roughing out a hickory bow out of a stave. i followed the center line. the bow is streight from 1 tip past the handle and and starts bending at the fade. i need to streighten it. should i use heat or steam? as u can tell i have'nt done this very much

Steam works better on Hickory.
