What knot for tiller string?

made a tiller string with a loop on one end but what type knot do i tie on the other that will untie easy?

Or just forget the tillering sting all together. Get an over sized bow string and use it. It is much easier. You can twist it up to bring the bow to brace height.

My regular tillering string is a piece of parachute cord with a slip knot in each end. I also have a long  bow string with a loop in one end and bowyers knot(timber hitch) in the other for length adjustments. I make all of my bow strings with bowyers knot for bottom limb.

Kinda tuff to do when the bows you make vary more than a few inches. Part of building bows is making strings, unless you build a lot of bows and then there's no time for strings.    :D

First ya Gotta Learn to MAKE the Strings too. Parachord is what I use too. Tough Stuff that String is!!
