Persimmon makes a good self bow, takes some set so I hear. I always wanted to try it.

very good bow woood  make it as ya would hickory 74 sg if i rember right  i like it  and i heat treat it when i use it  brock

Makes a good bow,treat it like Hickory and keep it dry also go slow on the tiller,it will go away on you quick.It is a beautiful wood when sealed.I make them about 66 inches N-N 1 3/4 at the fads to about mid limb then tapper to 3/8 at the tips for a 26inch draw.They are light and pretty snappy.

I just split some persimon today can you just take the bark off or do you chase a ring on it?
