how is fir in tension,I've got some vertical grain red fir, super straight grain and clear. is it a possible backing material. if not I'll make some arrows out of it.

It should make good arrows. I don't think it's bow worthy.

thanks pat, I saw doug fir on tim baker's bow wood list, didn't notice that the red fir was on the non bow wood list. thank's for th reply, once again you were right on
