fire hose problem

hey guys,

after several failures with a fire hose form i use for lamination (the top part of the form moves to one side when i give pressure on the hose, so the laminations move out of the center and the bow comes out like a piece of crap), i think about a kind of guidance for the lams, which prevent the lams from moving.

any thoughts on this guys?

HFB you might want to  put some finder washer along the side of your form to keep your lams in place .

I add 6 fender washers to each side of my forms. I buy 1 1/4 inch washers with a 3/16 inch hole then I drill a offset hole in washer so it is adjustable.  I have 4 sets of brackets on each form, each with 1/4 inch wood spacers between brackets and form, I snug brackets down and adjust washers to top layer of lams. I have not had any movement of the form or lams.

Herm- that's how I prevent the lams from slipping also (photo looks familiar lol). With the hose I pressure it up a little at a time until it is at the desired psi- I think this cuts down on things moving on you and gives the hose time to distribute the pressure evenly across the bow.
