corn tassel backing

Hello,  I was wondering anyone has ever used the corn tassel, leaf. For backing a bow before.
smooth seas never made a skillful sailer.

I've thought about and wondered the same thing. Its pretty strong in tension from experimenting, but it can rip along the grain really easy
