Arrow "launcher"
« on: January 24, 2010, 02:43:00 PM »
Several years ago, I saw plans for a contraption that would hold a traditional bow horizontal, allowing the shooter to draw the string into a holding trigger device, then the shooter could load an arrow, and aim and shoot by releasing the trigger.  It was designed for an elderly shooter or someone whose shoulder would not allow them to draw a longbow in the conventional manner.  It was basically a longbow used like a crossbow but the device could be placed and held on a table, then drawn and loaded and released after aiming.  Since I now have shoulder issues but still injoy my traditional bows, I have looked unsuccessfully for the plans.  The trigger device was the complicated part.  Anyone have information on how to construct such an arrow launcher?  Thanks.

Thanks - that is not the one I remember and was searching for but it is impressive indeed.  It gives me some good ideas to work with and will serve as an excellent example.  Thanks again for replying and sharing.  ddtbishop
