Hi all. Question please
« on: February 14, 2010, 06:16:00 PM »
I have looked all over the internet for places in Canada that can supply me with 6ft lamanents so i can try my hand at a 1 piece recurve like Ditchwarbow made.  His was AWESOME and I would LOVE to try it.  I will follow his thread to the letter.  The problem is that I am in Canada.  By the time I purchase the wood, add the difference in Canadian and American $. pay the government for thier share when it tries to cross the border, pay the shipping and handling.  Well you get the picture.  I just cannot afford it.  Any ideas.
A bad day of hunting is still far better than a good day at work.

I hope someone can help you. I'm not much help. The only suggestion I have is to try talking to Herb Haines. He is a sponsor here and is based in Canada. I don't think he deals with laminations but he still might be able to help you.

You might want to check out Wright Archery.  He's in Quebec and sells bow making supplies.  He's also one of the sponsors here.

Here's the web site

Good luck,
