hello all,
following various topics here and on other bowmaker's forums I red about various types of wood glues but no one seems to use vynilic glues in making laminated bows.
I'm planning to make an all wood recurve.
I recently found a vinyl water-resistant (waterproof in accordance with B3) glue I've used to reapir broken arrow shafts that seems to me quite strong to be used in gluing laminations (Bindan-P, polivinyl acetate glue, also known as "propeller glue").
When dry is transparent and can be sanded without problems (it's not soft as other vinyl glues I tried are).
Its breaking strenght is >1400 Kg/cm2.
I couldn't find specifications about aliphatic glues as Titebond III, so I could not make a comparison.
Do you think it could be used to make a bow?
