the handle and tips are osage and cocobolo the bow came out to be 55# at my short draw of 25 inches it has reflex deflex i followed the build along from poorfolkbows.com

Beautiful!  That ipe is some tough wood but sure is pretty when finished.

yeah i just shot it some more earlier today. Seems to be shooting pretty good got my string served and nocked. its flings the arrows pretty good i measured the draw weight is actually a little over 55# probably 56 or 57

very nice, i like the contrast of ipe and boo alot. wouldnt mind building one myself but i have no local supplier for ipe in a size i could really use,dont wanna have to buy enough to refloor my living room to build one or two bows.lol.

i found a guy off craigslist that makes decks with the ipe i got 4 boards from him had to splice the ipe together cause the boards were to short. Have you tried looking on craigs list
