My first attempt a R/D bow

Yep I'm a lefty....the core timber is Spotted Gum.It's a Aussie native and the light timber is known as Tassie Oak but it's more likely to be Blue gum.
I'm going to tiller tomorrow after work.

Normally the power lam is between the backing and the belly lam for support.

Nice. What poundage are u go for? Apex is right about the handle. But maybe u are a lucky guy, and the bow survive. When tillering the bow, you may shave the limb from 2" from fadeout for more support to the handle.

Cool thanks for the advice fellas.
I've been watching the Dean Torges dvd and this is how he does his riser so I thought I be sweet.
I'm hoping to tiller it out to about 45#-50# @28.
Oh well we'll see how this one goes....if not I'll just make another!lol
