karelian birch as riser wood ???
« on: September 06, 2010, 06:13:00 AM »
I'm planin' on using cocobolo and karelian birch as a riser wood combo. I want to cut the cocobolo lenghtwise and add two stripes of birch. Now i don't have a clue if this birch is any good for a riser. Has anyone ever used it, or know about it's strength ? I know it's used for knives but that's a different story.
