Cutting tapered lams

Can tapered lams be cut with a table saw and not ground? I dont have a thickness sander.

Not safely. I did that once.Never again.

I cut with the bandsaw first. Then use a drill press with a fence to grind the LAMS

I mounted a 4 x 36 belt sander virtically on a plywood box and grind from the end of the belt.

I haven't tried it yet, but I don't see why you can't use a taper jig to cut them.  Use the jig to cut your first one, then take the jig away to cut the second.  The angle will be a perfect match.
Like I said, I haven't tried it yet, but I'm gonna as soon as I get some time.
