Gemsbok takedown!
« on: September 25, 2010, 04:53:00 PM »
Hey all I have been looking around **** and have seen some nice pieces of gemsbok horn for cheap, I wanna make a gemsbok takedown. I have a few questions. Do you have to split them and fill them with glue and ect? thats the only way I could find online and the way in TBB volume 1 doesent give you any instructions but it looks like 2 separate pieces of horn. Which is what I want to do. Do you guys think 2 separate pieces of gemsbok horns of the same length and size will make a good takedown with a handle of osage? if so what is your recomendid length for each horn, and if not please give a detailed process of how to split, where to split and all that good stuff, Thanx.
Chris
