Twistin strings

Hey guys when you build your strings or adjust them do you just twist em to make them shorter? I have always done this but I heard that it can rob you of some arrow speed. What do you guys think

I use endless loop strings, (my preference) as opposed to flemish twist strings. To keep the bow tuned at the appropriate brace height,as the string stretches, yes I twist mine up to maintain that good shooting proficiency in my bow. Speed difference is negligible IMO in that case.

I think Black Widow recommends something like 100 twist in their stings

I heard you want no more than one twist per inch. If more than one twist per inch you start getting the spring effect on the shot.

I've read things similar to what Jason says.  The more twist in the string, the more stretch you'll get.  Twisting to shorten is something nearly everyone does, though, but within limits.
