Hi!Ive had mine for about 2mo now the 1st thing I did was replace the FF string, with b50 flemish,Ive been noticing some hand shock, think that could have anything to do with it?Its 60#@28,I havent shot much since nov,and wed nite it liked to kick my butt(shot way too much). The jury still out I gotta get in shape for this bow before I can decide if its for me or not,but its a beautiful thing same as yours coco riser and red elm and yew limbs.

I had one for a year and I just could not get rid of the hand shock. Would drive the vibration right into my shoulder. I tried everything. Hope it shoots better for you. You could be right though, maybe for you it is just a matter of getting your shooting arm back.

I shot a couple at a recent Trad Expo and they were nice bows.  They were a little shocky, but not bad.  Then again, I only shot a couple of dozen arrows from each.

The only long bow that I couldn't handle the shock.  It was a three piece.

I have had the 3 pc takedown for a while now and really enjoy every bit of the bow.  Maybe it is me but I experience very little hand shock.  The bow is well balanced, smooth and very accurate.  It is also a beauty on top of it all.

Point of information folks. On some newer "High Proformance Bows" because of the bow design you can experiance MORE handshock with a B-50 string. The biggest thing I see over the years is NOT to overbow yourself. Can you draw the bow and hold it for more than a few seconds? That can cause you to torque the riser and make a bad release.Let the string roll off your fingers. When you do make a bad release  on a longbow especially because of the narrow riser handle you will notice more hand shock and noise. There are a few custom string makers here that can help you tremendously . Golden Hawk [LeRoy]was a great help to me in finding the perfect string for a bow I had. Hope I helped.

Mine was outfitted with a custom matched string and I've been shooting trad for 35 yrs, so for me it was another issue.
