My shop is in the garage, and unheated except when I am out there. I have several staves to work on this winter, and now I am faced with frozen wood. it is -11F/-24C here this morning and it will be much colder in Dec, Jan, Feb.
Can I build a bow with wood that is frozen? or should I bring the staves in the house and keep them warm, and take one to the shop when I want to build?
Frozen firewood splits much easier than the same wood in july, so is this the same for building bows. Will tillering be a problem when the stave is cold/frozen?
