cracked limb

i,m trying to make a red oak board bow and after tillering i noticed a crack on a limb.Its a vertical crack. just wondering if glueing the crack and a backing with linen or dry wall paper would be enough. my first bow and don,t realy want to give up on it.70''ntn 2''to 3/4 limbs any advice would be apreciated

Will you post pics of the crack?  If it runs with the grain and doesn't run off the side super glue should do the trick. If it runs across the grain and is in the belly it is most likely a fret(aka chrysal, compression fracture)and will eventually be the demise of the bow.
