My first 2 Osage bows that made it..
« on: January 29, 2011, 08:57:00 PM »
Well I didn't take pics along the way.  Didn't know if these would make it or not.

The first is one to make it is 68", with a few curves to it, it's on the right.  Came out just under  the 55# I was shootin' for.

The next one I cut down to 58", I prefer the smaller size.  It's just under 55# too.

I'm practicin' at it.  My biggest problem is the right eye dominance.  But I'm tryin'.

Your getting a lot of bend out of that short one.  What kind of draw length do you have?  I like the hat too.

I've gotta 28" draw... I couldn't get the bend starting closer to the riser because of a bad spot on the side of one limb.  I don't have a band saw and I just use the draw knife to cut the shape out.  Sometimes it pulls a chunk out with it.  Then I just work from the bad spot, and try to match the bend with the other limb.  Oh well, they both shoot good, but I like the 58"er the best.  :bigsmyl:
