« on: February 27, 2011, 10:36:00 AM »
Hey all im building a TD recurve ive never tried skins on the limbs. do you want to glue the skins directly to sanded bare glass? then im wandering has any body spray finished the limb with thunder bird over the skins finishing the whole limb at one time. then im wandering if you can do that can you knock the gloss off with steel wool on the skins with out damaging the skins. or does somebody know a better way. thanks for your knowledge mike

Yes you can glue to the rough sanded limbs with titebond glue, and finish with thunderbird. Do a search on here for snake skins and there is alot of info, also I think the how to section has info there. Steel wool will work knocking the gloss down just fine.
