Best Finish?

Finishing up a BBO, wondering what would be the best finish over a painted surface.Would like to use shellac or satin urathane or ? Thanks for any advice, all is welcome.

You can apply shellac over the paint to seal it and then seal with Tru-Oil...or whatever finish you prefer.
