Thanks for the responce guys. The stack thickness would be about .183" I guess, but I don't have a micrometer. It is a take down recurve, 1 3/4" at the riser and about 9/16" at the string groves. The top limb is half way decent but the bottom twists to the right when in the shooting position. Kirkll, is that how you normally lay out your take downs? I layed out the limbs, cut them out and sanded, before ever attaching them to the riser. How about the flex in the limbs(from tip to tip when it is not being drawn), are they just too thin? Also, could you recommend any books on bow building. I am interested and have many questions. Like, what is the benefit of having your handle forward, or trapezoid limbs, or tapered lam.s as opposed to parallel? How do you reduce hand shock, etc.? Like I said, many questions.
