Anyone Ever Done the Do-it-yourself Hill Bow Blank?

Hey all,
I see that you can order a Howard Hill bow blank to your specs that is already roughed out and tillered. Apparently all you have to do is round off the edges and finish sand it and seal it. You can save $100 or so on a bow if you do it this way.
So I am curious to see how many people have done it and how hard it was to complete.
Any thoughts?

I did one for a friend years ago. I added an arrow shelf, string nocks and sanded off about 10lbs of weight. I went slow and it worked out fine!

I have done several, they all turned out great. the reason I do the blanks is, I tiller the bows to match my Schulz longbows. I am also very particular about the grip. My favorite and most accurate bow is the bamboo and yew combo, it's 68'' but I tillered it to work with a 26- 27'' draw. faster, lighter tips equals less hand shock more forgiveness and more speed in a longer bow.
