It may be crazy. I know there may be a moisture issue. What about hickory lams and riser with glass. Hickory is all I do on selfbows. Works super if it's perfectly dry. I just cut some maple lams, my first, and I got to thinking what if........

Under glass should work just fine..

I have put purple heart, lacewood, walnut, maple, dymondwood, paduak and yellow heart under glass with no problems.  And these are not just veneers.

I also built my first take down recurve out of hickory with no glass.. and it still works today.

So I don't see any problems using it under glass...

Let's see if some one else pops in and has any experience with this!
God gave you hands, use them

Here is one I built to a customers requests.  All hickory, glass laminated.  He was very happy.

The hickory came from Kenny McKenzie.
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!
